BTAN Detroit 3-Day HIV Prevention, Treatment, Care, and Advocacy Training
The Detroit chapter of the Black Treatment Advocates Network (BTAN), in partnership with the Black AIDS Institute, presents the 2017 3-Day HIV Training. Join Black AIDS Institute staff for a three-day training on the latest in HIV prevention, treatment, care, and advocacy as we collectively work to end the HIV epidemic in the Black community. At the conclusion of this activity, participants should be able to: Increase knowledge of effective HIV prevention, treatment and care strategies that improve outcomes on the HIV treatment cascade in Black communities Increase knowledge of the drivers of the HIV epidemic in Black communities Increase knowledge of effective HIV advocacy and community mobilization efforts in the Black community Practice skills and abilities to develop and deliver effective HIV prevention, treatment and care strategies to Black communities Breakfast will be served at 8:30am, with the training program running from 9:00am to 5:00pm each day. Breakfast and lunch will be provided daily to participants. This activity has been approved for AMA PRA Category 1 credit (s)™.
