Detroit Maker Fair 2017 Trip
We are SUPER excited to be able to take a group of students up to the Maker Faire at the Henry Ford musuem this July. Last year we took a group of students and we had a blast. It is amazing to see the students get inspired by the things they see and do while there. If you aren't familar with the Maker Faire it is a world wide event where makers (people who create things digitally, electronically, and physically) come together to show off what they have done and allow you to do some of it as well. Cost for this event is usally $19 for 11 and under and $28 for 12+. Because of our organization we are able to get a flat rate tickets for all students regardless of their age. For $19 each students will get a HackBG tshirt to keep and wear the day of the event, transportation, and entry into the event. Students will need to bring money to purchase lunch ($10 covers it). We are limiting this event to 15 students to make sure we have a good Teacher to student ratio so everyone can check out what they want. We will meet at HackBG at 7:30 and students will arrive back at HackBG around 7:00pm If you want to learn more about the event you can see their website at http://detroit.makerfaire.com/ They have not posted all of the things to do yet and that normally doesn't happen until a couple weeks before. Every year the event has gotten bigger and bigger. Hope to see you all there!
