Foreigner are celebrating their 40th anniversary, and to mark it, the band are embarking on a mammoth tour! Bringing the incredible Cheap Trick & Jason Bonham's Led Zeppelin Experience with them as support, Foreigner will be rocking the stage at DTE Energy Music Theatre on Friday 11th August 2017!

"I could never have dreamed this would happen or that we would still have some kind of relevance 40 years later. It's unbelievable, really," says group founder Jones, who formed Foreigner during 1976 in New York, releasing its first album a year later. "I think it's fitting at this point that we do this. I'm very proud of everything we've done and what we've achieved, and of how the new band [lineup] has fought back for me and for the heritage of Foreigner. It's kind of the way I always dreamed that Foreigner would appears, as a very exciting live band and everything that goes along with it. It's really been very inspiring for me."
Foreigner: A rock band formed in New York City in 1976 by veteran musicians Mick Jones and ex-King Crimson member Ian McDonald, along with then-unknown vocalist Lou Gramm (Louis Grammatico). Foreigner has sold more than 50 million albums worldwide (including over 37.5 million in the United States alone).

Cheap Trick: In Japan, Cheap Trick is often referred to as "the American Beatles" due to their practice of taking a pop sound and twisting it until it resembles rock. With six platinum records and years worth of sold-out tour dates around the world, Cheap Trick is living up to that name. The band's hit singles "Surrender" and "I Want You to Want Me" have stood the test of time, and even Cheap Trick's newer albums have continued to delight fans and critics. While Cheap Trick may not have a new album in the works, they do have dozens of tour dates left for 2011.

The current lineup for Cheap Trick formed in 1975 and began performing at bowling alleys and bars. Their first two album were initially unsuccessful, though they received great reviews from critics and became hits in Japan. Cheap Trick hit it big with Heaven Tonight in 1978, which featured the single "Surrender" and is widely considered to be the band's best album. During Japanese tour dates in 1978, a live performance at the Nippon Budokan was recorded and released as Cheap Trick at Budokan which became the best selling album of their career and branded them international superstars. Even the band's recent work, particularly 2006's Rockford, has received acclaim from critics and fans and has cemented Cheap Trick's place in the future of rock music.

Cheap Trick's 2011 tour dates will travel around North America, including a few weeks of shows at the Northern Lights Theater in Milwaukee in October. On October 30, Cheap Trick will perform at Voodoo Fest in New Orleans, effectively rousing out their tour dates for 2011.
